why you don't go on dates when you are sick...

embarrassing adj. causing to feel shame or chagrin or vexations

so there i was, getting asked on a date and i tried to decline because i was sick but when i said, "that would be fun but i'm sick." and then he said, "oh no, well let me take you to go get some soup." my excuse was kaput! so i went thinking it would be harmless.... wrong! 

we went to the soup kitchen, he sitting on one side of the table and i was sitting across from him. we just got to talking and everything was going well, until he stopped me in the middle of a sentence to tell me to "go like this." as he wiped his right nostril with his napkin... "oh no. are you serious?" i said. "yeah, its not a big deal. you're sick." he said so nicely to which i replied, "boogers are kind of a big deal on a date." anyway, i went to the bathroom immediately to wipe my nose, we finished up lunch, and haven't been on a date with him since! oh man! well, at least now have a good reason to not go on a date when i'm sick. Next time i will reply, "i'm sorry but my bodily functions are a bit unpredictable at the moment. thank you for the offer. cheers!"
